The deadline to file an EE0-1 report has been extended from September 30, 2015 to October 30, 2015. In general, the following employers are required to file an EEO-1 report annually with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC):
- Private employers with 100 or more employees;
- Government contractors with contracts of $50,000 or more and 50 or more employees.
The preferred method for filing is through the EEOC’s web-based system using a login ID and password. Companies that filed a report in 2014 should have received their login ID at the end of August 2015 from the EEOC. Employers may also go online at https://egov.eeoc.gov/eeo1/login.jsp to obtain their password or company ID by clicking on “Get Password or Forgot Password” or “Forgot Company Number.” If your company is a first-time filer, you can register at: https://egov.eeoc.gov/eeo1/register.jsp.
